Off to Cape Canaveral today, the Kennedy Space Center has a big
visitor exhibit and they also take you on a bus tour of the various points
of interest. |

Just outside is Atlantis, which they are moving back inside, for
disassembly following the loss of Columbia. The little truck in front
of it is about the same size as the Dakota we hired back in Denver... |

They have different buildings for the various different programs, this one here is a display about the Appollo program. They have a full size Saturn VII, seen from the business end... |

...and this is the Command Module from the other end, all shiny and
polished so I'm guessing it hasn't been used. |

The 30,000 acre Nasa site is mostly nature reserve with the odd launch pad and building. They have about 5,000 alligators on site to keep visitors out. This extends to keeping them in the pond near the astronaut memorial, to keep visitors out (of the pond...) |
